The Final Farewell Awarded $5,000.00 from the Community Response Fund  for Nonprofits of Akron Community Foundation

The Final Farewell Project has been awarded a $5000.00 grant from the Community Response Fund for Nonprofits of the Akron Community Foundation. The funds will be used to assist families impacted by COVID-19 either by the loss of a loved one to COVID-19 or the loss of income due to the pandemic making the ability to pay for final expenses almost impossible.  To qualify please contact us at 234-571-9341 to discuss your case. We ask for a reference to verify that the case is impacted by COVID-19. Recipients must be Summit County residents.

The Final Farewell Project helps families with resources to pay for final expenses.  The organization has been able to help families that have not been able to find assistance from other agencies or assistance organizations. As an organization we do not turn families away due to race, religion, the circumstance of death, or socioeconomic status of the family or individual. With these funds provided by the Akron Community Foundation, we will be able to help the most vulnerable in Summit County that has been affected by COVID-19. We are grateful that the Akron Community Foundation shares our passion in ensuring that nobody is forgotten!
