Direct Partner Referral
Funeral homes and cemeteries send your bill directly to us. Once a request is submitted and approved, assistance is provided as funding allows. Approved families are notified within 48–72 hours of their application status. In the event that funds are not currently available, approved families are placed on a waitlist and contacted as soon as funding becomes available. We are a donation-funded organization and appreciate your patience and understanding. They pay them directly, so you can focus on your family's needs and emotional well-processed healing.
Social Agency Referral
Hospitals and churches can refer you to us. We will help find a funeral provider and offer community resource navigation to ensure you have the emotional support you need during this time.
Who We Support
Financial Aid
We pay for basic funeral and burial needs like burial permits, cremation costs, and opening the grave. This financial help is just the start. We also give you a special resource packet with info on local social services and how to find food or housing help if you are struggling. We walk with you through every single financial hurdle.
Holistic Care Beyond
Our work does not end when the bill is paid. We do not just give money; we offer an invitation to free grief support groups and optional check-in calls. We do not pay for luxury upgrades or pre-planned funerals because we focus on immediate needs, basic dignity, and lasting mental health care.
Finding Care
We connect you to licensed counselors and mental health providers in our community. While we usually give about $750 for burial costs (up to $1,500), our biggest goal is making sure you are never alone. We will help you find the right programs and agencies to support your family as you heal from your loss over time.
